What is a “Trade-Only” coin?
A "Trade-Only" coin is a cryptocurrency that you can buy and sell on Netcoins, but cannot be deposited or withdrawn to and from an external wallet. It lives only within our exchange for trading purposes.
Why are some coins Trade-Only?
Some coins are listed as Trade-Only because our third-party partners don’t yet support deposits and withdrawals for those specific assets. This is usually due to:
- New or experimental blockchain technology
- Integration delays with external wallets or infrastructure
- Security and regulatory checks still in progress
Which coins are currently Trade-Only?
At this time, TAO (Bittensor) is the only Trade-Only coin on Netcoins. You can still fully trade it on our platform, just like any other coin.
Can I still actively Buy/Sell with Trade-Only coins?
Yes! Trade-Only coins work exactly like other cryptocurrencies when it comes to price changes and orders. We support market orders and limit orders, and you can buy low, sell high, and track changes in your portfolio.
Can I still convert cryptocurrencies with Trade-Only coins?
Trade-Only coins are only compatible for coin to coin conversions with USDC at this time.
When will I be able to deposit or withdraw these coins?
We’re actively working with our custodians to enable full support. As soon as deposit and withdrawal functionality becomes available, we will notify you by email and on our platform about our latest updates.
